Specialising in reputation, crisis and issues management communications, Sue Stapely FIPR FRSA is thought to be the UK’s only practising solicitor providing comprehensive strategic communications counsel, with unrivalled experience, particularly working in the legal sector. A former BBC Television programme maker, turned politician, broadcaster and solicitor, Sue was Head of Public Relations at the Law Society of England and Wales before moving into consultancy, as a director of Fishburn Hedges, the award-winning London communications and design consultancy.

Her extra-curricular activities are mainly in the arts. She is on the boards of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Brighton Dome and Festival and of the Spare Tyre Theatre Company. Until recently, she was a board member of the government’s Countryside Agency and on the Development Council of the Royal Court Theatre. She is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and of the Royal Society for the Arts, a member of BAFTA, the International Bar Association, the Media Society and was on the National Consumer Council’s Advisory Group.
